The home made battered mushrooms are the most delicious we have ever had anywhere!! I would make the 1.5 hour drive back for them alone! This was our first visit to the Gibbled Goose we came across this little spot while searching for a place for dinner while visiting Whistling Gardens.
The atmosphere was casual and our server Graydon was very friendly and helpful. We even met the very lovely cook and the pride she takes in her meals is evident, I absolutely recommend you come for a meal if you haven’t been here before. I had the chicken wraps and my husband had the fish and chips, the portion sizes are very generous and everything was quite tasty.
There was even some musical entertainment out on the patio. Thank you for the great evening:)

After our walk on the Shadow Lake Trails my wife and I stopped in for lunch . We both ordered from the $15 lunch menu . My wife had the fish tacos while I ordered the coronation chicken sandwich , we both had the potato and broccoli soup as a side . Both meals were tasty and satisfying. The service was good and the servers friendly . Recommend this place and would return here .

With only two servers and a packed restaurant, the service was top notch. There were 12 of us and every single order was correct. The potato and broccoli soup was really good too! We were there during pumpkin fest, and the donuts were amazing and so fresh!!

The atmosphere is quite loud in the full tables section. We had the fish & chips & we found it VERY VERY GREASY - so much so when lifted off the plate the grease ran down my fingers & on the plate. The fish was tasteless, little fish piece in the crispy greasy batter was mushy. The fries were all TOO well done & the coleslaw had way too much dressing, as the cabbage & carrot was swimming in the sauce. This is the third time to the Gibbled Goose, twice for fish & chips, once of fish taco. Tacos were ok but the fish was not good each time !! The watered down Diet Coke was a disappointment. Too bad as Waterford needs a good restaurant !

We were in Waterford oh a whim looking at antiques and decided to stop in. Food was very good, large portions, and server was very friendly and attentive. We had fish and chips, kids had burger with fries and gravy and chicken strips. We got there just as they opened for lunch so got right in with no wait. The fried food was golden, not brown which was great, means they likly change the oil often.
